Introduction and Background: GCSA is the Global Quality Standard for Clinical Research Sites. It was developed in close consultation with a Global Advisory Board made up of opinion leaders from across the industry, and the International Accrediting Organization for Clinical Research (IAOCR). Due to rapidly increasing demand for GCSA Clinical Research Site Assessment and Certification, we are seeking 4 trusted professionals to join our friendly and supportive accreditation team. Previous experience working with clinical research sites is essential. Successful applicants will be provided with comprehensive training and support in conducting the assessments. Freelance vacancies are as follows: Freelance Assessor - Clinical Research Site Certification, Spanish Speaking Regions (bilingual Spanish/English) Freelance Assessor - Clinical Research Site Certification, Australasia (Australia or New Zealand base preferred) 2 x Freelance Assessors - Clinical Research Site Certification, UK & North America Role Overview: The GCSA Assessor is an integral part of the GCSA Team, providing assessment of the required information to complete the GCSA quality standard and certification process. Working closely with the GCSA & IAOCR Accreditation Team, our Clients and our Partners, the Assessor will thoroughly review and assess all evidence provided, from documentation, surveys and 1:1 discussion with the client. The GCSA Assessor will also provide ongoing quality oversight of the assessment process, as well as regular reviews of all the standards & assessment criteria to ensure relevance and current practice is adhered to. Whilst a background in clinical research is essential for this role, previous experience of conducting assessments is not required as full training will be provided. This role may be suitable for a person who has worked within the Clinical Research industry OR somebody who is working in academia but connected to clinical trials/clinical research. Role Responsibilities: The Assessor is responsible for: Working with our GCSA/ Accreditation Team and our Clinical Research Academy Partners/Clients to develop a collaborative working partnership Reviewing Client documentation, client surveys and discussions against the required GCSA standards and assessment criteria Providing a high quality detailed written report highlighting areas of strength and areas for consideration/development Developing joint action plans as relevant, in relation to the findings of the process Providing suggestions/improvements to clients for continuous improvement Providing feedback to the GCSA/Accreditation team to support quality oversight Representing the GCSA Global Taskforce review body as required, to provide feedback and implement changes as relevant Required Skills & Experience: Essential: Must have previous experience of working in and knowledge of clinical research/clinical trial sites Exceptional attention to detail Strong business and analytical skills Ability to build relationships and gain the trust of staff, peers, management, suppliers and clients Highly organised and efficient with excellent time management skills Team player with an ability to work independently Highly committed to customer satisfaction Ability to gain buy-in and commitment from others to ensure adherence to required timelines Excellent communication skills Proactive and creative thinker with a logical approach Positive, “can do” approach Professional (in appearance and attitude) Commercial awareness Project planning and management skills Competent user of relevant IT systems and equipment Training: Full training will be provided on how to conduct the review and assessment process. Rate of Pay: Rate of pay will be agreed on a per project basis (project size varies due to size and complexity of client) Location and working hours: Freelance home based Flexible working hours Flexibility to meet the demands of the job will be required - Please note that clients may span a number of international time zones. Therefore, you will need to work flexibly to support clients at a time that is suitable for them.
