29 April 2025 | Syneos Health, Farnborough UK

Welcome to this special Think Tank, which this April we are holding in collaboration with Syneos Health at their fantastic Training and Events Centre in Farnborough, UK. The central theme for this IAOCR Industry Leaders Think Tank is: Inclusion and Representation – Thinking Outside the Box. It will focus on the challenge of upskilling, enabling and including a diverse range of clinical research sites across the world, so that clinical research can become accessible to a broader and more diverse range of patients. Other key Agenda items will cover some of the latest initiatives and approaches regarding patient inclusion and representation; exploring exciting developments related to navigating the use of AI in clinical research, and discussing the important topic of building trust across our industry through quality, best-practice and leadership. View the Agenda here and scroll down this page to meet our speakers, panellists and workshop facilitators.
What is the IAOCR Industry Leaders Think Tank?
The IAOCR Clinical Research Industry Leaders Think Tank initiative launched in 2014; they bring together industry leaders and influencers from around the globe to advance thinking on processes and technologies related to the business of clinical research. Think Tank meetings are limited in size and participation, and they are strictly by invitation only, in order to facilitate networking, collaboration and meaningful outputs from discussions focused on specific topics. We believe that global best practice, networking and collaboration should be available to all clinical research leaders. Therefore, the IAOCR Think Tanks are free to attend and held on a not-for-profit basis; we would like to extend a huge thank you to our premier sponsors and exhibitors whose vital contributions make it possible to run the Think Tank meetings on this basis.
IAOCR works collaboratively across the clinical research industry to develop global best practice standards that make a meaningful difference to people, sites and organizations. Since launching IAOCR in 2011 our focus has always been on helping to shape a better future for clinical research and patients through operational excellence and global best practice standards. The IAOCR Think Tanks also serve to promote clinical research sites and organizations of all types that have achieved or are working towards non-mandatory, global best practice standards developed by IAOCR with key industry stakeholders.
Finally, another big thank you to our collaborators and hosts for this Think Tank – Syneos Health. Yvonne Ash, Head of Business Integration, Learning Solutions at Syneos states: “I am looking forward to this year’s IAOCR Clinical Research Industry Leaders Think Tank, proudly supported by Syneos Health. This event promises to be a groundbreaking forum for discussing vital topics such as inclusion and representation in clinical trials, navigating clinical research with AI, and building trust through quality and leadership. It’s an incredible opportunity to collaborate with global leaders and drive meaningful change in the clinical research landscape.”
For those attending this Think Tank, I hope you find it challenging and inspiring and make meaningful connections that enable new collaborations – helping you to shape a better future for your organization, workforce and patients.
